Full Story

“The day the screen went dark, I didn’t know what to do. I kept pressing the button, hoping it would turn back on. My room felt too quiet, and I started feeling bored and annoyed. I didn’t realize how much time I spent staring at that screen until it was gone.

I walked around for a bit and then sat at my desk. There was a notebook there that I hadn’t used in a long time. I opened it and started writing about how strange the quiet felt. At first, it was hard, but then the words started coming faster.

By the time the screen finally turned back on, I didn’t care anymore. Writing made the time pass quickly, and it felt good to create something on my own. That day taught me that sometimes the best things happen when the screen goes dark.”
